Canberra is located approximately 300km south-west of Sydney, and approximatel 800km north-east of Melbourne. There are flights from every Australian capital city direct to Canberra. International visitors should be able to book internal flights to Canberra as part of their travel package. Some travel options are suggested below. The ESAM09 organisers can take no responsibility for pricing or schedule changes.

International visitors
Information regarding visa requirements for conference participants from overseas can be obtained from the Australian Department of Immigration. In particular, some participants may be eligible to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). If you are coming from a non ETA country please contact the conference secretariat administrator who can help with your visa application.
